Access

Access is not difficult but does involve crossing a carpark and a short push along a snow bank. From Courchevel 1850 head for the Mur black run. Stay on the Mur piste as it takes you around the hard standing for the Courchevel piste bashers. Just before the piste takes a hard right down through the trees you will see a building with a blue cow on the roof. This is where the fun begins. Cross the little car park and clamber onto the snow bank that marks the edge of the road. Stay on top of the bank and follow for about 150 - 200m until you can see an obvious gap in the trees below you. Whenever you're ready launch off the bank heading for the gap that will take you to the fallen tree after which the run is named. From there follow your nose down to the Prameruel Blue run which, in turn, will take you to the Aguille du Fruit and Roc Mugnier chairlifts.

1

Tech

No special tech is needed for this one. Even though it's front country it's still off-piste so helmet and TSP are recommended. It's also in the trees so don't forget your whistle.

7

Stoke

This line will get you stoked and usually delivers some great photos for your social.

2

Gnar

If you want to amp up the gnar there are some kickers at the entry point but otherwise this is not a difficult line for anyone confident riding pow. Slope angle is below 30 degrees except for a couple of short sections so ava risk is generally low. It's mostly in the trees so all the usual tree skiing precautions apply: Protect your noggin and eyes from stray branches with helmet and goggles, beware tree bowls and stay together but carry a whistle for communication just in case you do get separated or get into difficulties.

8

Awe

If you're lucky enough to be first into this line I guarantee you'll go round again for a second run. When the pow is fresh and the trees are decked with snow this is the perfect spot to take photos and make your friends jealous.
