Saint Martin de Belleville is one of several resorts in the Vallée des Belleville, along with Les Menuires, Val Thorens and the tiny Le Bettex. There are 3 patrolled FreeRide areas, marked on the piste map as ‘Liberty Ride’, these can be accessed directly from the piste. There are almost endless additional non-patrolled FreeRide lines to ride directly from the lifts / pistes or a short boot pack away. In addition there is super easy to access low gradient sidecountry from the top of St Martin Express lift. The Saint-Martin-de-Belleville lift pass covers a large area by most resort standards, however upgrading to the Les 3 Vallées pass gives you access to more FreeRide terrain than you could ski in a multiple seasons.

This piste was named in recognition of resistance work carried out by people of the Savoie during World War II. They used the various barns and huts dotted across this mountain side to hide those targeted for persecution by the Nazis.
