Ski outSuberb, mellow descent through open trees and meadows from Roc de Fer to Le Raffort.
Super easy access right off the top of the Olympic Chairlift in Meribel. Turn right off the chair and traverse along the ridge line on the west side (enjoy the awesome views along the way) until you arrive at point where high ground pushes you over to the east side. Most likely you won't be first into the traverse so this point should be fairly obvious. Don't be tempted to drop off the ridge here (there will almost certainly be tracks at this point) but continue to traverse above the forest (see photo) until you can see the rolling meadows below you. Pick your line and follow your nose down to the Raffort piste from where you can ride back up to Meribel on the Olympe 3 gondola.
No specialist tech required but No TSP, no party.
I was super-stoked to ride this line, down through rolling Alpine meadows and forests. I couldn't believe my luck to be making fresh tracks here having viewed it from across the valley while riding up on the Golf chairlift from Meribel Village. Almost all the riders before me had been tempted into the descent much earlier (see blue dotted line on image below) leaving the "Easy Way" virtually untouched.
This was super easy skiing in fresh snow on low consequence terrain that was a total delight to ride.
The views from the Roc de Fer are spectacular, the rolling terrain is a riders paradise and fully 1,000 metres of vertical descent make this line one I look forward to returning to.
Easy Way marked in Magenta.
Goodshitskier at the start of the traverse (see riders in background) at the top of the Olympic chairlift.
