Happo One is located at Mount Karamatsu in northwestern Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It’s one of ten resorts in the Hakuba valley, which is Japan’s Northern Alps. The area is blessed with an incredible quantity and quality of snow, receiving on average 11 metres per season, most of which is super dry pow pow. The resort has 2 dedicated patrolled FreeRide zones and a load of unpatrolled side country. Rideable terrain ranges from  18-37 degrees in steepness.

The boundary is marked with yellow and black poles. There are marked exit point gates to leave the patrolled area, proceeding into side country which is at your own risk. NB: Riders are advised to file a notification form with the local police, when planning on riding beyond the marked boundary.
