The Courchevel area consists of six villages: Saint Bon (1100m), Courchevel-Le Praz (1300m), Courchevel-La Tania (1400m), Courchevel-Village (1550m), Courchevel-Moriond (1650) and the main resort Courchevel (1850). The Courchevel lift pass covers a massive area by most resort standards with 100s of FreeRide opportunities a designated / patrolled FreeRide zone, a patrolled but un-groomed black known as the Grand Couloir and as well as tons of side country. Upgrading to the Les 3 Vallées pass gives you access to more FreeRide terrain than you could ski in many seasons.

This is a lovely secluded, sheltered knoll overlooking the Bozel valley. It’s a great place to dig a couple of seats for a picnic lunch or a rest stop. It’s also the beginning of a great FreeRide line that crosses the cat track below and down one of several chutes before rejoining the Jean Blanc piste.Read more

If you’re looking for great bread or pastries for your FreeRide packed lunch then Maryan Bakery is a great choice, there’s usually loads of choice and it feels like pretty good value too. They’re open from Sunday – Saturday 07:30-19:30 with a 45 minute closure from 13:45 – 14:30.

This battery recycling point can be found opposite the lift pass kiosks in Le Praz Alpinium building. Ideal location to drop off last seasons beacon battery. You can also recycle any old lift passes by dropping them at the kiosks whilst you’re about it.
