Ski outCracking little FreeRide adventure with something for everyone. Easy skin up into the mouth of the couloir followed by a boot pack to the ridge and a nice ride back down.
Easily accessed from the Chamois piste in Meribel. Traverse under the Saulire Express 2 until you are somewhere midway between the top of the Dent de Burgin chairlift and the Saulire Express 2 gondola lift line. Start skinning from here into the mouth of couloir above you. It won't be possible to skin all the way up to the ridge. At some point you will need to transition to boot pack for the final climb to the top. Crampons might be useful but not essential.

Getting there is just as exciting as the ride back down and La Folie Douce is only a short distance away to celebrate afterwards.
This doesn't feel too exposed but the Courchevel Hors Piste guide by Jean-Christophe Berrard reports a fatal avalanche in the top of the couloir so be sure to respect the mountain and conduct a full risk assessment before taking on the Couloir de Burgin.
Leaving the busy Meribel pistes behind and climbing up into the solitude of the couloir de Burgin is a pretty special experience made all the more surreal by the sounds of La Folie Deuce cabaret show which carries all the way to the top. Be careful busting your moves on the ridge. It's pretty cosy up there.
Bootpacking to the sound of La Folie Deuce cabaret far below.
