Fancy bread on a whim?

Bozel, France

powdabunga added intel 28 Jan 24
Type :Retail

Description :

There are a couple of boulangeries in Boz as well as 2 supermarkets – they all usually have bread for sale. However ‘Au Caprice’ is the best of it. A great quality and variety of bread, excellent pastries, tarts, quiche, pre-made sandwiches and more. The staff are super friendly and the opening hours are surprisingly long. That said heading there anytime on a Wednesday or Sunday afternoon will leave you feeling a little disappointed as they’re closed. You’ll need to take a short walk to one of the other less appealing options.

How To Get There :
When heading into Bozel from the valley / Moûtiers (along Rue Emile Machet)- you’ll see a SPAR supermarket on your right, Au Caprice boulangerie is 100 metres further on your left. If you find yourself at the roundabout in the middle of town, you’ve gone too far.

Their croissant set the international standard by which all others are judged. 😋
