If you pack your own lunch and hate it every-time you find yourself using or even re-using plastic or cling film to wrap up your sandwiches or baguette, then this hack is for you. There are now loads of products on the market that don’t contain plastic and will last and last. Our favourite solution is bees wax wraps. They’re available at loads of outlets and they’re way more eco friendly, fun and pretty versatile. They just need a rinse in cool water after use, possibly a drop of washing up liquid if they’re smushed with avocado or something, then just hang them up to dry. If they start looking a little tired or unappealing then you can freshen them up by placing them in the oven at about 65 degrees Celsius / 150 degrees Fahrenheit for a couple of minutes, this melts the wax in the fabric returning it to the surface. Hold them up by a corner for 30 seconds whilst the wax cools and they’re back in action. If they’ve really reached end of life they can be composted or used as firelighters.Â
