This Dakine scraper is a revelation….. Until now I’ve only used wax scrapers marketed at skiers, from the likes of Toko, Swix and Wintersteiger. When kept clean and sharp they’ve done the job BUT I’ve never held 10 inches in my hand and let me tell you this feels entirely different. It makes the job of scraping FreeRide skis a breeze, particularly anything wider than 100mm underfoot. It’s not just the coverage that’s better but there is something about the width and flex of this tool that makes it super effective and a joy to use. I know this may sound like small beer but honestly it’s really worth considering if you’re in the market for ski tuning tools. I say ‘ski tuning’ as of course this scraper is probably in the bag of most boarders already.

I’ve been trying a bunch of different eco waxes over the last couple of years.
