I bought this merino base-layer back in 2016. It’s seriously exceeded my expectations….Firstly it’s really well made and is still going strong after multiple seasons use. Secondly it’s worked brilliantly with layering including puffers and shells, it’s just the right weight not to feel cumbersome but at the same time doing a great job of keeping me warm. Thirdly being merino it’s up to the task of dealing with my man musk – on some trips I’ve had to wear it multiple days back to back including lung busting bootpacks, time in the skin track and long powder descents 🙂

It wasn’t cheap, I think I paid about $200 at the time – they now retail for more like $250 but I’ll definitely be investing in another one when this eventually needs replacing.

Oh and I haven’t even mentioned the patented sh*t zip – which has been a real boon for avoiding frost bite when nature’s called in the backcountry.
