Les Menuires is one of several resorts in the Vallée des Belleville, along with Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and the tiny Le Bettex. There are 3 patrolled FreeRide areas, marked on the piste map as ‘Liberty Ride’, these can be accessed directly from the piste. There are almost endless additional non-patrolled FreeRide lines to ride directly from the lifts / pistes or a short boot pack away. In addition there is super easy access to huge sidecountry and backcountry from the top of La Masse gondola. The Les Menuires lift pass covers a large area by most resort standards, however upgrading to the Les 3 Vallées pass gives you access to more FreeRide terrain than you could ski in a multiple seasons.
