1

Access

Prepare to get sweaty. Accessing Gros Tougne aka the Swedish Lady (so called, apparently, because this feature resembles a woman lying on her side) is straightforward but does require some heavy duty sidestepping to get to the ridge from which you will drop. The whole feature can be scoped from the Granges chairlift. There are plenty of lines, simply pick the one that's right for you.

0

Tech

No specialist tech is required, but it might be an idea to brush up on your sidestepping technique in advance of taking on this line.

Do I even have to say this? No TSP, no party.

6

Stoke

The stoke is high because:

a. You didn't work that hard to get here.
b. Everyone on the Grands Lac piste and Granges chairlift is watching with envy.
c. The snow on this face is consistently good.
d. This line is, generally speaking, a bonus drop on the way to somewhere else rather than the main event and yet it is absolutely golden in its own right.

4

Gnar

The level of gnar is up to you. The ridge runs roughly from north west to south east with the most demanding lines in the north and the least exposed in the south. There's so much opportunity here from moderate to severe and plenty of time to scope your line as you ascend the Granges chairlift.

8

Awe

There's so much to love about this line. The ease with which you can summit, the staggering views across to the Roc du Tougne and so much more. Swedish Lady may not be politically correct but she is awesome.

The route from the top of the Granges chairlift to the ridge. A combination of traversing and sidestepping.
