Ski outA FreeRide paradise from the top of the Boismint chairlift in Val Thorens to the Lac du Lou refuge in Les Menuires.
Scoping this line before you ride it is tricky. The best vantage point is the Lac du Lou refuge but you can see enough of the line from the drop in that this may not be necessary. Ascend the Boismint chairlift out of Val Thorens and look for the traverse from the Boismint red run up onto the ridge above. As you crest the ridge the FreeRide paradise that is Le Revers will reveal itself. Try to contain your excitement and savour the moment!

///fizzy.empire.eyedropsOther than TSP, no tech gear is required for this line, but bring a few euros to treat yourself to a chocolat chaud at the Lac du Lou refuge or even stay for lunch - you will have earned it.
Just the amount of vertical on offer is cause for celebration, throw in the spectacular mountain setting and the huge variety of route options to choose from and it's obvious why this is a FreeRide paradise.
GNAR and stoke often go hand in glove but this line is the exception that proves the rule. For all the stoke it delivers, it's relatively low GNAR. It's easy enough to access, hot chocolate awaits at the exit, the slope angle is mostly below 30 degrees, it's easy to pick a route and there are few, if any, hidden obstacles or terrain traps. That said, don't get complacent. Always read the avalanche bulletin and make a risk assessment before venturing into Le Revers. Just like any off piste line, it goes without saying: No TSP. No Party.
As soon as you start your traverse from the Boismint red run onto the ridge above you leave the resort behind and enter the authentic mountain. It's a magical place that only a lucky few ever experience. It's inspiring and humbling in equal measure. Savour the experience with every turn.
Savouring the authentic mountain experience.
