Ski outWhen the clouds come in and the viz is poor, the Plantrey freeride zone is the place to be in Courchevel 1850. There's a huge amount of terrain to be had while you wait for the clouds to lift. The old button lift line that used to serve the Emile Allais Stade de Slalom is just one of the lines to explore in this playground in the trees.
Access is via the Plantrey chairlift. The entrance is hidden away in the trees on the righthand side of the Petit Dou piste. Finding it is half the fun.

///consultation.sums.overcrowdNo specialist tech required but a pair of pruning shears might be handy if you get tangled in the veg.
This is a super fun line to discover - it's Emile Allais' little secret that most will never find.
Aside from a bit of veg and the odd bump there's little to worry about in this line. It's pure fun.
Bouncing down this line hidden away from the riders on the Petit Dou piste and dodging the bossy stade marshals at the bottom will bring out your inner school kid.
Looking down the line. The stade de slalom is rider's right and Petit Dou is on the left.
Looking up the line. The stade de slalom netting can be seen on the left of the photo.
